Trees - 1974 vs 1975

Was the same Trees for Canada triangular crest used for both 1974 and 1975? If not, how do you tell them apart?

Re: Prairies to Rockies

My notes say my copy came from Bill Neil as a freebie along with a bunch of other badges I bought from him "off auction". So it's been a while.

Prairies to Rockies

There is currently one of these badges listed on eBay by drmxd. eBay item number 153930743062. It is described as: in 2010 a Jamboree of Sorts was held in Central Alberta. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all attended this event. This was (I understand) the only badge from the camp and people were upset it ...

Re: Another one for id

My catalogue says that the version with the "salmon branch and post" is C17e.

<usual rant>If you would stop renumbering existing entries when a new version is discovered we wouldn't have this sort of confusion</usual rant>

Re: Bluewater Area - A variety

My "a" version looks just like the image in the gallery. The beads definitely overlap the border. From a production point of view I would guess that the border and the BLUEWATER text were simply stitched before the rest of the badge. Both my "a" and "b" versions retain ...

Re: 100 Years of Cub Scouts

I solved my own problem. Although the Toronto Scout Shop was out of stock of both items when I was there in mid-January, both crests are listed online at scoutshop.ca . I wondered if the online store list was up to date but I orderd a couple of each anyway. And I truly appreciate the $1.50 shipping ...

Re: 100 Years of Cub Scouts

So John, while you were there did you get 2017 nat 29a? That was one of the things on my shopping list for the Troop and Company (now that it is actually 2017!) which was the main reason I was in the store in the first place. Those 2017 badges and a bunch of tiny numbered OAS badges. Since the stor...

Re: 100 Years of Cub Scouts

The Toronto Scout Shop was out of both crests. The Saturday help thought the circular crest was being reordered but didn't think the rectangular version would be redone. I can understand reordering the circular version as without it they won't have much luck selling all the little segments that surr...

Re: 100 Years of Cub Scouts

As a Scout and Venturer guy I'm not usually interested in Cub stuff. And then along came the December issue of the Canadian Badger with the two Cub 100th Anniversary crests listed. Now I have to find them.

100 Years of Cub Scouts

Wanted – Can Misc 22a and 22b – “100 Years of Cub Scouts”

I missed getting them from the Scout Shop and now they’re sold out - at least in the Toronto shop. So, who cornered the market and has a spare of each to trade?

I wonder who wore this strip at WJ12. I attended that jamboree and have never seen this badge. [Or it's so long ago that I've forgotten ;) ]

Re: Badge from 10th World Jamboree Philippines

I'd be surprised if either of the badges posted in this thread so far are originals. Any 10th WJ badges I have seen are cut edge and the frame with the text surrounding the centre images is not fully embroidered. And I haven't seen the bright colours in the badges posted in any 1959 badges. Like all...

Re: Ontario Gilwell Weekend @ Blue Springs S.R.

I'll be there but as contingent chair for Brownsea for which both the registrar and the quartermaster are unable to attend this year, I will likely be too busy to even visit the Yak Shack :( . Unless you tell me there's a Red Lake or similar for trade.
