Badge from 10th World Jamboree Philippines

Post by C0331 » Sat Sep 17, 2016 10:37 pm

Yes, I know what this says, but is it an official issue, contingent, sold at the store, a part of a collectible set, or a fake made many years later. I found it in somebody's chronicle of World Jamborees. It is Swiss, Rolled edge, Diamond, measures 50 x 50 mm.

Same general design but different colour scheme used. Any idea of the origin of these?

I'd be surprised if either of the badges posted in this thread so far are originals. Any 10th WJ badges I have seen are cut edge and the frame with the text surrounding the centre images is not fully embroidered. And I haven't seen the bright colours in the badges posted in any 1959 badges.

Like all of the badges at http://pinoykollektor.blogspot.ca/2011/ ... types.html

Could it be that these are both commemorative issues made at a later date?

Thanks folks. I too believe it is a post-jamboree commemorative, likely sold at later jamborees.
